As part of our European Roadfreight Customer Services team, you’ll manage daily operations for key clients, ensuring their goods are delivered quickly, cost-effectively, and with exceptional service. What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be the main point of contact for some of our most valued clients, managing their shipments and building lasting relationships. Your responsibilities will include:
Roadfreight Operations
- Manage day-to-day operations of Roadfreight accounts.
- Act as the primary contact for key clients.
- Develop strong relationships and understand client needs deeply.
- Use your expertise to manage shipment flows and find effective solutions.
- Handle daily shipments, quotes, and queries.
Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional service with prompt responses and proactive communication.
- Understand individual customer requirements and tailor your approach.
- Input accurate information into internal systems and follow procedures.
Ownership & Responsibility
- Take full ownership of your workload and manage tasks independently.
- Show initiative and a desire to grow within the business.
- Learn from a knowledgeable and friendly team and contribute to Metro’s continued success.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who’s enthusiastic, customer-focused, and ready to grow. You’ll need:
- Ambition to develop your career in logistics.
- Excellent customer service skills and experience in a customer-facing role.
- Previous experience in European Roadfreight (preferred but not essential).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent planning and attention to detail.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Ideally educated to A-Level standard; Degree level is a plus.
